got your message re the book ... there is much anger within the state, much of it toward the union, but most of it toward the managers who lead the employees on a day to day process, and fianly against the state legislators who dont give the paaerance they know what they are doing.
The lion's share of anger goes to the Management, as they control the day to day decsions and in the state, they are not up to date in anything, thier business, thier tasks or techniques. most commercial organizations kee p both staff and managers updated... the state in most agencies do not. They often have uninformed views regarding those who have degrees of any sort, and respond with "that's a clss-not real world"- perhaps but they have this attitude from Associates, Bachelors and especially Masters. Often more than not, mgmt is jealouse of these people and often make comments "you think you are better than everyone" ... shame the mgmt doesn't sieze thier opportunity to takadvantage of the people with the degrees as thier resource ... especially sense they don't a degree themself. In my view .. you should create a book that is up to date and effective to open the eyes of management it is my belief you will accomplish much more if this approach was taken.
